April 15th, 2025 Special Election. 

On April 15th, 2025 Oakland will be having a special election. The Oakland 68s are always committed to our community, fans, and sports culture. This year we asked the two main candidates, Barbara Lee and Loren Taylor a series of questions about Oakland and it's sports scene. As you all know, we support everything Oakland sports, from the OAL, up to the pros. We believe sports can be used as a driver for social change and impact the youth here in Oakland. We know that sports is not above in the priority list when it comes to our complex issues here in our beloved city, but we do think it is very intertwined and can have an impact in our youth. Imagine summers without sports, or fall and spring with no OAL.

What we want is for YOU to go and vote on April 15th, 2025. We hope these answers from our candidates have been helpful and informative.
